2011 marks 25 years since David R. Jones first took the helm of the Community Service Society of New York. Under David’s leadership, CSS has made landmark strides in increasing the political representation of poor communities in New York City; established the nation’s largest health care ombuds program; and inaugurated The Unheard Third survey, the only regular polling of low-income opinion in any U.S. urban center—among many other accomplishments. In September 2011, CSS celebrated with a reception at the Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers honoring David and his long-time right hand, Executive Vice President and COO Steven L. Krause, for their 25 years of service (view photos from the event here).
